The board of directors votes how to distribute those funds.
Jefferson Farmers along with 54 other member cooperatives make up Tennessee Farmers Cooperative (TFC). TFC is divided into three zones- East, Middle, West. Three farmer-members from each zone are elected by member Co-ops to represent them on TFC’s board of directors. TFC pays patronage back to the member Co-ops based off any savings above the cost of operation.
